Today's available car fast chargers provide 50 to 200 KW of power, which typically adds nearly 322 km of driving range in an hour. Currently, the industry is developing high power charging (HPC) technology to provide the same amount of charge (about 322 km range) in 10 minutes or less. However, the quick charging solution for cars is not as simple as the quick charging for mobile phones. High-power charging means charging an electric car are 1,000 times more than it does today, and the charging requirements of the future will be 10,000 times higher than now.  

As far as manufacturers are concerned, the safety of the high-power charging process, the life of the battery, and the weight and cost of the wire are the biggest challenges facing automotive engineers.
